All Boys Home
Now we truly are 5boys and a girl. Max is a toddler in all its glory and all boy. He rushes around trying every door, cabinet, looking at every toy, room, the pool (what is that????), outside, the sun palm trees, grass, food... OMG look at all that food. The other boys are sick or getting there. Abby, my niece who stayed with the boys at home, has held up but it appears she is getting sick as well. Jesse immediately takes to Max but there is also an immediate power struggle... uh oh. Those older brothers can be soooooo bossy.
It takes about 2 days before Max realizes that "Niky" is his old crib mate. After looking at a book I had made with pictures of the boys, all at the BabyHouse and their journeys home, he is suddenly smiling and gives Niky a big hug saying, very clearly... "Nikita."
I cry. The scene is so Kodak, so Speilberg, so Lifetime TV.
We spend the next 10 days at home, except for doctors. The crud runs through the entire family and then repeats. Isn't that life with kids?

USA
Updating (from March) and returning to Blogging.
The flight with Max is fine, but long....13 hrs. Because of the last minute ticket change there is no upgrade. Max sleeps, plays, eats, explores. Like any little one, he is fascinated by airplane bathrooms. What is that? The flight attendants are all anxious to talk with him and learn his story. They are very gracious. Max gets his first set of Wings.

We arrive in Miami. Immigration is a breeze this time. Last time, we were taken first, adoptions always are, but there was no interview this time. A quick transfer of paperwork and we are off to gather luggage, find the rental and Alligator Alley here we come.
WATCH OUT AMERICA. Maxim Noah William Block is here.
