Our weekend Christmas Baking

At this very moment, in kitchens around the world, sugar and spice and all things nice are being made into very special Christmas presents. Nuts and fruits are mixed and stirred into sweet, soft doughs, the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg wafts through windows, hands (both large and small) create works of art with piped icing and colored sugar and whatnots. Ladies and gents, horses and sleighs, snowflakes and house cutouts, kisses and crescents, are packed into boxes and bags. Mothers hide handfuls of delights to make sure there will be plenty for celebrations and cookies to go with the milk for Santa on Christmas Eve.
